The Harford County Cultural Arts Advisory Board is pleased to award the following grants for FY2026:
Community Arts Development - General Operating Support Awards Sixteen Harford County arts nonprofits received FY2026 general operating support funding totaling $99,800.
Burning Barriers Building Bridges Youth Theatre (B4 Youth Theatre): To support operating costs for B4 Youth Theatre, which is dedicated to empowering young people to become educated citizens through the arts. $5,000
Deer Creek Chorale: To support operating costs for the Deer Creek Chorale, a multi-generational chorale based in Harford County. $5,000
Harford Artists' Association, Inc.: To support operating costs for the Harford Artists’ Association, which promotes and encourages the appreciation of the fine arts in Harford County. $8,500
Harford Ballet Company (Ballet Chesapeake): To support operating costs for Ballet Chesapeake, whose goal is to enrich the community by sharing the power and joy of dance. $9,500
Harford Choral Society: To support operating costs for the Harford Choral Society, which has established a trained chorus of singers to share classical music with Harford County through concerts, music education, and scholarships and awards. $7,400
Harmer's Town Art Center, Inc.: To support operating costs for Harmer’s Town Art Center, a regional art facility based in historic Havre de Grace. $8,500
Havre de Grace Arts Collective: To support operating costs for Havre de Grace Arts Collective, a community of local artists and arts enthusiasts dedicated to promoting and celebrating the arts in Havre de Grace. $6,000
Maryland Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, Inc.: To support operating costs for the Maryland Center for the Arts, whose mission is to build and operate a visual and performing arts campus to provide broad access to the arts. $6,600
River Stone Theatre Company: To support operating costs for the River Stone Theatre Company, whose mission is to produce high-quality live entertainment that engages, inspires, and transforms audiences. $2,600
Rogue Swan Theatre Company, Inc.: To support operating costs for Rogue Swan Theatre, which supports the fine arts by producing and presenting performances that are meant to educate, enrich culture, and benefit the community. $2,500
Scottfield Theatre Company: To support operating costs for Scottfield Theatre Company, which strives to bring pride and pageantry to community theatre. $6,000
Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra: To support operating costs for the Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra, a community orchestra that serves the Harford County Community and provides opportunities for local musicians to perform a classical repertoire. $9,000
Theatreworks Live, Inc.: To support operating costs for Theatreworks Live, which is dedicated to using theatre as a medium to cultivate confidence, creativity, and character in youth ages 5-18. $6,000
Tidewater Players: To support operating costs for Tidewater Players, a community theatre company providing theatrical productions for Havre de Grace and the surrounding community. $9,000
True North Project, Inc.: To support operating costs for the True North Project, which provides arts-based resources such as performances, arts education workshops, professional development opportunities, and personal enrichment experiences. $4,500
Upper Chesapeake Chorus of Sweet Adelines International, Inc.: To support operating costs for the Upper Chesapeake Chorus, an a capella group dedicated to advancing barbershop music, that provides community performances, vocal education, and leadership opportunities. $3,700
Community Arts Development - Arts Programming Nine arts programming awards for FY2026 went to nonprofits located in or serving Harford County totaling $47,200.
The Historical Society of Harford County: To support living history and storytelling performers and performances of historic music. $1,650
Harford Community College: To support six events and performances during the 2025-26 Artistic Season at the APGFCU Arena. $8,000
The Liriodendron Foundation: To support the Music at the Mansion concert series. $5,000
Ladew Topiary Gardens: To support artist honorariums for the annual "Garden Glow.” $8,300
Friends of Jerusalem Mill: To support the FY2026 Music in the Meadow Sunday evening summer concert series. $3,600
Bach Concert Series: To support four community events and performances in Harford County. $6,150
The Ed Lally Foundation: To support delivering the Power of Expression school program, designed to address the mental health crisis among youth through the arts. $2,500
Bel Air Recreation Committee: To support live entertainment and advertising expenses for the Bel Air Festival of the Arts and for continuing support of the Bel Air Community Chorus. $9,000
The Vestry of Deer Creek Parish: To support Deer Creek Coffeehouse’s live concerts from September 2025 – June 2026. $3,000
